Synopsis:

It is the year 1333. The Kamakura Shogunate, which had long served as the foundation of samurai rule in Japan, collapses after a rebellion led by its own trusted retainer, Takauji Ashikaga. Having lost everything and plunged into despair, Tokiyuki Hojo, the rightful heir to the shogunate, escapes the burning city of Kamakura, guided by the mysterious priest Yorishige Suwa, who claims to speak for the gods. Fleeing to the land of Suwa, Tokiyuki meets trustworthy companions and slowly builds up the strength to reclaim Kamakura. Rather than embracing the traditional samurai path of "fighting" and "dying," Tokiyuki overcomes the great upheaval of his era by "fleeing" and "living" instead. In an age teeming with heroes, where will Tokiyuki's game of hide-and-seek to reclaim the realm lead?
