Synopsis:
Aoi Tsubaki, a college girl who can see ayakashi (supernatural beings), is suddenly abducted one day to the Hidden Realm (Kakuriyo), where the long-established inn Tenjin-ya resides. Her late grandfather had left behind an enormous debt — and with it, a promise made in the Hidden Realm. As repayment for that debt, Aoi is told she must marry the inn’s master — a demon known as the Odanna. However, Aoi refuses to accept that fate. “I’ll work and pay it back. With my own strength.” To repay the debt, she opens a small eatery called “Yugao” in a corner of Tenjin-ya, offering heartfelt hospitality that warms both the stomachs and souls of the ayakashi who visit. Though she sometimes struggles, Aoi presses forward, forming bonds with the residents of the Hidden Realm. The promise once made long ago gradually transforms into an irreplaceable place to belong. After overcoming trials at the southern inn Orio-ya, Aoi returns to Yugao. But her peaceful days are short-lived — a crisis unlike any before now looms over Tenjin-ya. She has a home she wants to protect. She has friends who believe in her. Nurtured by countless encounters and bonds — the story begins to move once again.
